Tyburn Monastery is home to the Tyburn Nuns who spend their life Centered Around Perpetual Adoration.
Located half an hour outside of Rotorua, one can visit the Monastery anytime during the day without a booking.
Browse in the shop, spend time in the Chapel, attend Mass or any of the Divine Offices (see Timetable), walk Calvary hill or down to the lake to view the new 1200 redwood trees that have been planted thanks to the Bernadette Trust.
The Ngakuru property overlooks some of the most beautiful scenery one could imagine, with endless hills rolling away into the distance, and up close a breath-taking view of Lake Ohakuri.
The Retreat Centre at Tyburn Monastery offers people an opportunity to share in the Nuns life of prayer and worship and they welcome Retreatants to spend time alone with God, or to take advantage of the most beautiful natural surroundings in Ngakuru.
